Diwali Rangoli Competition 2026 at Malkar Industries

On 7 November 2026, ahead of Diwali, seven departments of Malkar Industries turned an open space on our factory premises into a gallery of rangolis. It was the 12th year of a competition we have held every Diwali since 2015.
First prize: Sales, young Krishna.
One hour, organic colours only
Each department had one hour to plan and finish its rangoli. The rules were simple: organic colours only, nothing harmful to the people making the rangoli or to anyone walking past it afterwards. Eight entries came in, two of them from the Sales team.
The winners
First prize: Sales, for young Krishna in blue (above).
Second prize: Accounts.
Third prize: Production.Second prize: Accounts, for a woman in a sari holding a diya beside a lotus, inside a white border.
Third prize: Production, for a bare tree against an orange sunset and a rising moon.
Every entry
The other five rangolis were just as much part of the day.
Sales: a diya on a lotus.
Quality Control: the silhouette of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman against the sun, inside a blue flower.
Purchase: a peacock with diyas.
IT: a Diwali greeting.
Administration: the Malkar Industries mark.
The day went on with the rest of our Diwali celebrations, together as one team.
To everyone at Malkar Industries
This competition belongs to the people who make Malkar Industries work every day, on the shop floor and in the offices, everyone who keeps the plant running. The precision our customers rely on comes from your hands, and so did every rangoli on that floor. Thank you, and Happy Diwali to you and your families.
