Custom Lead Nuts
Modified and custom lead nuts: changed mounting patterns, integrated components, half nuts or quick-release designs, in metal or polymers such as Delrin.
Besides the standard nut types, we make custom configurations and simple modifications: different mounting bore patterns or mounting threads, small dimensional changes or special materials.
Integrating parts into the nut
A custom nut can take over the job of several parts, which simplifies the assembly, saves space and reduces cost. Special machining can integrate guide bushings, carriages, timing pulleys, gears, sensor mounts and flags, encoder features or clamps into the nut. Custom designs can also offer quick-release mounts, partial thread engagement, half-nut construction or other shapes.

Metals and polymers such as Delrin, chosen for temperature, chemical compatibility, autoclaving, special loads and other requirements.
Quantities
Small quantities are machined individually; large quantities can be produced at lower cost. We design each nut around the combination of tolerances and geometry your application needs. Leadscrew ends can be machined to match (grinding, milling, broaching, threading).
