Shipping and Delivery Policy

How and when orders are dispatched and delivered, in India and for export.

प्रभावी तिथि: 29 अक्टूबर 2026अंतिम अपडेट: 29 अक्टूबर 2026

This policy explains how Malkar Industries dispatches and delivers orders. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Where your quotation or order acknowledgement states different delivery terms, those apply.

1. Where we ship

We deliver across India and export worldwide. For export destinations, see our export and global presence information.

2. Dispatch times

  • Standard catalogue items are generally dispatched within 3 to 5 working days of order confirmation and receipt of any advance payment, subject to stock.
  • Custom, non-standard and made-to-drawing items are manufactured to order. The lead time is confirmed in the quotation; typical lead times are shown on our lead times page.
  • Services such as regrinding are completed within the turnaround confirmed for the job.

Lead times run from the date we have the confirmed order, all technical information and any advance payment. We tell you promptly if a confirmed date is at risk.

3. How we ship

  • Domestic: through established courier and transport partners, or collected from our works in Navi Mumbai by arrangement.
  • Export: by air or sea under the Incoterms® rule stated in the quotation (for example EXW, FOB or CIF), with the export documentation required for the shipment.

Tracking details are shared on dispatch where the carrier provides them.

4. Shipping charges

Packing, freight and insurance are not included in product prices unless the quotation says so. They are quoted or invoiced according to the order's weight, size, destination and service level. We do not offer free shipping unless stated in the quotation.

5. Packaging

Products are packed to protect precision surfaces and edges during transit. Special packaging or marking requirements must be stated in the order and may be charged.

6. Transit insurance and risk

Transit insurance is arranged on request and at the buyer's cost, unless the agreed Incoterms® rule makes it our responsibility. Risk passes to the buyer as set out in our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

7. Receiving your order

  • Please make sure someone is available to receive the delivery at the address given.
  • Inspect the packaging on delivery. If it is visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's delivery document if possible.
  • Report any transit damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the packaging and the contents, through our Contact page or your Malkar contact.

8. Failed or delayed delivery

  • If a delivery fails because of an incorrect address, the recipient's absence or another reason attributable to the buyer, re-delivery or return charges may be payable.
  • Delays can occur for reasons beyond our control, such as weather, natural events, transport disruption or customs inspections. We will keep you informed and work with the carrier to resolve them.

9. Export orders

The buyer is responsible for import permits, customs clearance, duties and taxes in the destination country unless the agreed Incoterms® rule says otherwise. Please tell us of any documents your customs authority requires (such as certificates of origin or inspection certificates) when ordering.

10. Contact

Questions about a shipment: contact your Malkar contact or use our Contact page, quoting your order or invoice number.
